David Zaslowsky is an independent arbitrator based in New York and Miami. Prior to launching David Zaslowsky Arbitration in October 2026, he spent more than 40 years practicing international arbitration in the New York office of Baker McKenzie, where he served as Chairman of the office’s Disputes Group.
His computer science degree made him gravitate to technology-related disputes throughout his career – most recently in the areas of cryptocurrency and blockchain. Attorney Intel named David one of the top 25 blockchain lawyers in the US in 2025. He was the editor of Baker McKenzie’s blockchain blog from when he launched it in 2018 until he left the firm in 2026.
David spent much of the first ten years of his career representing U.S. companies (many in the energy sector) in arbitration proceedings against the government of Iran at the Iran–U.S. Claims Tribunal. He also participated in dozens of arbitrations, both inside and outside the United States, before many of the leading global arbitral institutions.
David has been recognized in Chambers USA, Chambers Global and Best Lawyers in America for his expertise in international arbitration. He is the long-time co-author of the International Litigation column in the New York Law Journal and was the editor-in-chief of Baker McKenzie’s International Litigation & Arbitration Newsletter from 2001 through 2026.
