Event Location: Baker McKenzie & Zoom

Our first presenter will be Miriam Harwood who will speak on transitioning from counsel to arbitrator in international disputes: shifting from advocate to decision maker, the role of party-appointed arbitrator, views on effective advocacy and other observations.

Miriam is an independent arbitrator with decades of experience at the highest levels of international arbitration. Her experience spans both commercial and investment arbitration, as well as related proceedings before U.S. courts.

Next, William H. Crosby, Jr. one of our newest members, will contribute to our "What Else Do You Do" segments with his presentation "My Experience as a Capoerista: A Discussion of the History and Traditions of the Afro-Brazilian Art of Capoeira."
